Experience
The first time I taught a lesson was back when I was in law school, as a means to supplement my income. After finishing my classes in the morning, I walked across town to teach finance and accounting lessons at a local community college. Even when I studied for the bar exam, I also taught evening business classes at two different institutions. I continued to teach these classes up until I was hired by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.I worked for the prosecuting attorney for a number of years before becoming an instructor at the St. Louis County Police Academy. Even after resigning from the prosecuting attorney's office, I maintained an evening tutoring schedule. When I wasn't working at the police academy, I taught a range of seminars and classes at trial school, which were aimed at helping prosecutors improve their skills.I have always been drawn to teaching. No matter where I am in life, or how busy I have become, I still look for any opportunity to teach others. To me, being a teacher is something meaningful that gives me a purpose.Outside of teaching, I help fundraise to better the quality of lives of developmentally disabled children. I also take a keen interest in the Special Olympics.
