Experience
I earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in the field of Math at St. Louis University. For the past three decades, I have taught Math in high schools and junior colleges. With such a long run of teaching, I have encountered pretty much every type of student and solved every kind of problem imaginable. The first step that I like to take with a new student is establishing what they are good at and what they are struggling with so I can then tailor my lessons individually to them. Once we have filled the holes in the student's knowledge of the material, we can then move on to drilling on current topics to be covered on upcoming quizzes, tests, or homework. I am comfortable tutoring all levels of Math from elementary school up through Calculus. When I am not in the classroom or working as a tutor, I like to spend a lot of my time watching sports, listening to music, watching movies and TV, and going to the theater.
